Alessandro and Paolo Dal Bello of SIFE – a fruit-importing company since 1920 – claimed, “We participate at the Fruit Attraction especially to meet our suppliers from South America. Also, this occasion is especially useful because it gathers everyone in just one place. After all, it is always extremely beneficial to be part of these international events”.
SIFE will be part of the delegation that joined the Maap proposal – that is, the agro-food market of Padua – and will participate together in the Spanish fair.

The Dal Bello brothers stated, “In 1982, our father put an end to the monopoly by importing the first shipping of bananas. Today, we work with everyone and we get almost 30.000 tons of bananas per year. The company has two warehouses, for a total of 14.000 sqm. We select, import and distribute many different types of fruits. However, our core business is represented by bananas and pineapples. The production comes from selected farms – which are mostly located in central-South America – and they have to stick to the high-quality standards that SIFE demands”.
With regard to the current market trend, Dal Bello emphasizes that everything depends on the demand and supply, “Banana is an economic fruit. Everyone wants it. It is not just a case that the banana alone represents the 10% of the fruit market".

“The Lola-branded products are grown in Latin America by companies where the producers themselves can supervise and manage the crops. Lola is not only a healthy product but its also excellent from an organoleptic standpoint. This is because it is harvested when the fruit is perfectly ripe. The products have to meet specific requirements, such as the ISO 14001 certification – which establishes the concrete commitment for the eco-sustainability of the processes, of the products and of the services. Another certification required is the GlobalGAP”.
