Pink Lady® apples, the number one fresh produce brand in the UK, is launching an exclusive competition for M&S customers only. The on-pack competition offers consumers the chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Australia.
A significant producer of Pink Lady® apples, Australia was the first country to grow this apple and is home to around 6.5 million hectares of orchards, which produce 325,000 tonnes of Pink Lady® apples every year. Pink Lady® apples are grown in the world’s finest wine-growing regions, where the reliable hours of sunshine needed to develop the apple’s sweetness is guaranteed.
M&S shoppers can enter the competition through the Pink Lady® website, entering a unique code from an on-pack sticker. This on-pack promotion will only be available on M&S four-pack of Pink Lady® apples throughout the first two weeks of October. The competition runs alongside a promotion of Australian Pink Lady® apples at M&S, offering customers two four-pack of apples for £4.
The competition and promotion are part of joint campaign organised by Pink Lady® UK master licensor Coregeo® and Montague - an Australian, family-run fresh produce business. All three companies have come together to offer one lucky winner, plus a guest, the chance to win a seven-night holiday to Melbourne, where they will also get to visit a Pink Lady® apple orchard.
Lynn Shaw, Marketing Manager at Pink Lady® UK said: “We’re delighted to be collaborating with M&S to offer this spectacular experience to M&S customers and fans of the Pink Lady® brand.”
Thanks to its sunshine and unique geography, Australia is famous for its wines and its laid back outdoor lifestyle. These are the things that make it such a perfect place to grow this world-famous apple and we’re keen to show UK consumers what makes each Pink Lady® such a treat.”
Oliver Saul, M&S buyer, added: “This competition is a great opportunity for our customers. We are excited to be able to exclusively offer M&S shoppers this generous prize, including a money-can’t-buy chance to pick their own Pink Lady® apples in an Australian Pink Lady® orchard.”
