The first Xutian plant factory in Chongqing, which began construction in the Tongnan District International Agricultural Science Park in November of 2017, is now finished and in operation. The construction was a joint undertaking of Shaanxi Xutian Co., Ltd. and Chongqing Tongnan District International Agricultural Science Park. It covers a surface area of 6600 square meters and cost around 8 million yuan [1.17 million USD]. The building itself covers a surface area of 1000 square meters and includes a cultivation room, a seedling nursery, operation rooms, equipment rooms, and observation corridors.

The plants in this factory do not suffer from plant diseases, insect pests, or extreme weather conditions as outside crops do. The sealed growing environment provides the plants with a "safe haven" and effectively ends the need for pesticides. It also guarantees the "green" quality of vegetables.
