Early and successful season expected for Egyptian grapes

This year's grape season is set to be a good one for Egyptian producers. After good growing conditions, an earlier harvest is expected compared to previous years. Although it is still early days, with the grapes just starting their germination, the grapes are expected to be of good quality.

"Indian grapes are expected to end in the middle of April, which should bring us good demand. Our grapes should be available from the beginning of May and last through the month of June," shared Kamal Reham from Mazeed produce.

Mazeed produce currently grows the grape varieties; Early Sweet, Superior and Red Flame, and said they do not plan on starting with any new varieties in the near future.

"Our fresh seedless grapes are in high demand worldwide due to their premium quality & delicious, natural sweet flavor. The grapes are cultivated in our own farmlands with a dedication to quality control, which ensures that we are able to provide a superb product to our customers. We pride ourselves that customers can be assured of high quality grapes when they buy grapes with our brand and label on the packaging," assured Kamal.

Kamal said that the company is interested in entering the Chinese market in the near future and has plans to visit the Asia Fruit Logistica this fall to start the process.
