Why China's apple export are facing a crisis

This year, the export volume of apples decreased by about 30% compared to the last year. It takes a long time for producers to integrate into the foreign market. This year, the purchase price of Yantai apples increased and became unacceptable for the foreign market. At the same time, the domestic market situation is also far from being perfect. In addition, since June 1 of this year, the Indian government has banned the import of Chinese apples.

Most of the apples imported into India come from China and Washington, U.S.A. After India banned the import of Chinese apples, a large number of apples from Washington poured into the market, their import went up by 40% over the same period last year. This situation had a great impact on the Chinese apples export. The quantity of small caliber fruits that are suitable for export, such as #65 and #70 of Yantai Red Fuji apples, has decreased a great deal compared to the previous year.
