China: Shenzhen airport confiscates illegal, imported fruit

The Shenzhen airport department for inspection and quarantine confiscated a large amount of vacuum sealed fish and goat's meat, and fresh fruit, from a passenger who arrived on a flight from New Zealand. The amount is estimated at 30 kg. The passenger claimed that the meat and fruit was produced in New Zealand, and it was intended for personal consumption. However, because the passenger was unable to produce relevant documents to prove its origin, the inspection and quarantine personnel were forced to confiscate and destroy it.
