Prime entertainment in the Live Music Capital of the World

Austin, Texas is known as the “Live Music Capital of the World” and the Viva Fresh Produce Expo will feature some of the best talent Texas has to offer with rising country music star Lauren Corzine along with the Eric Tessmer Band, known for their “blues-rock soul-chedelic” sound.

For the second year in a row, Lauren Corzine will perform during the Golf Tournaments 19th Hole Celebration at the Pavilion-Omni Barton Creek Resort from 6:30 – 9:30 pm on Thursday, April 20. Corzine started booking shows as a country music singer when she was just 11 years old and since then she has played all over the country gaining notoriety for her musical skill. Entry to the 19th Hole Celebration is free for golf tournament players and is $40 for all other expo participants. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door. A shuttle service will run from the Hilton Austin Hotel to the Omni Barton Creek Resort starting at 10:00 am with the last shuttle leaving the resort at 10:00 pm. Shuttle times will be posted in the Hilton lobby.

Craig Slate, Golf Tournament Chair and VP of Sales at SunFed remarked, “We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Lauren Corzine back again as the entertainment for the 19th Hole Celebration. It’s going to be a great way to kick off the 2017 Viva Fresh Expo and celebrate a fun tournament that will benefit Salad Bars to Schools.”

For the Welcome Reception, Viva Fresh is proud to include Eric Tessmer. He is considered to be one of the most vibrant guitarists to follow in the footsteps of blues-rock legends such as Stevie Ray Vaughan and his namesake predecessors. The Eric Tessmer Band will play during the Welcome Reception on Friday, April 21 from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm at Maggie Mae’s on 323 East 6th Street. The reception located at the legendary Maggie Mae’s is within walking distance of the Hilton Austin Hotel. Guests will be treated to a panoramic rooftop view and the local atmosphere that is iconic to the 6th Street entertainment scene since 1978.

As to what guests should expect, Bret Erickson, President & CEO of Texas International Produce Association commented, “Eric Tessmer is an amazing guitarist and attendees will not be disappointed by this popular local band.” Erickson concluded, “The great atmosphere at Maggie Mae’s right in the heart of Austin's world famous 6th street district is going to provide the high energy Texas welcome that’s quintessential Texas and create a venue for everyone to have a great time.”
