888 Citrus & Mildura Fruit Company join forces

888 Citrus has announced the restructuring of the packing and marketing arm of their business. “We have decided to take control of our own destiny and bring our packing back on farm” says Craig Meyer, third generation citrus grower from Mundubbera, QLD.

”With our prior packing facility located two hours from the farm we felt the lag of transport during harvest and we believe a better outcome will be delivered by making sure the fruit is treated and packed immediately after being picked in our modern on-farm packing facility.”

Partnering up with the sales and marketing arm of Mildura Fruit Company has given 888 citrus access to a large domestic and international customer base.

“We are really excited about the opportunity to work with Craig and Danielle to bring their top quality citrus to the world,” says Marcus Scott, Sales Manager at Mildura Fruit Company.

Mildura Fruit Company will be marketing 888’s Seeded and Seedless Lemons, Imperial Mandarins and a large volume of Murcott Mandarins packed under both 888 and MFC’s branding.
