Tolsma-Grisnich introduces new generation of QCC’s

The size of storage facilities has increased greatly over the past few years. At the same time, users continue to look for ways to optimise storage efficiency and there is a growing need for more flexible utilisation of refrigeration capacity. Tolsma-Grisnich have responded to this trend by launching their new Quadro Compact Coolers (QCC 120 and 160). The company will be introducing the new QCC 120 and 160 models at the SIMA in Paris (26 February up to and including 2 March).

The design of the QCC 120 and 160 (with a maximum cooling capacity of 120 and 160 kW respectively) is based on Tolsma-Grisnich’s existing and well-proven QCC 40 and QCC 60 Vario refrigeration units. But there are some differences, such as enhanced air displacement, higher capacity and a further optimised housing to ensure the more efficient discharge of condenser heat. Maximum storage capacity for potatoes is 1,600 tons for the QCC 120 and 2,100 tons for the QCC 160.

According to the company not only do the QQC units generate additional cooling capacity, they can also operate at a lower capacity, depending upon how full the storage facility is. This reduces weight loss. The refrigeration units have been designed for optimal operation in both warm and cold climates. The were designed to be suited for emerging markets and can also be used in combination with a power unit.

The units also include an electronic expansion feature which allows the intelligent storage computer to be controlled online via any internet connection, enabling users to monitor their storage anytime and anywhere.
