According to the surveys of Assomela and the Chamber of Commerce, 1,158,436 metric tonnes of apples were still stored in the cooperatives in the region as of the 1st of December. In 2015 it was 1,173,413 metric tonnes on the 1st of December, and in 2014 it was only 1,236,221 metric tonnes. Just over half of the stocks are Golden Delicious apples (611,391 metric tonnes). Red Delicious (115,439 metric tonnes), Gala (86,087 metric tonnes) and Granny Smith (68,534 metric tonnes) are the other varieties. Compared to the previous year, the stocks of the varieties Gala, Cripps Pink and Braeburn are slightly higher, whereas those of the varieties Golden Delicious, Red Delicious and Fuji are lower.
