Stemilt Growers donates truckload of apples

Tis the season for giving! Stemilt Growers donated a truckload of fresh apples to Northwest Harvest during KING 5’s Home Team Harvest event on December 3rd. The annual event is a community drive to collect food and money for area food banks. In this photo, KING 5 reporters Paul Silvi and Danielle Leigh, take a look at some of the 48,000 pounds of apples donated. Stemilt has participated in this event for several years now, and also has an ongoing partnership with Rotary First Harvest that contributes more than 2 million pounds annually to more than 370 food banks and hunger programs in Washington State.

“We are encouraged by the KING 5 Home Team Harvest program and hope this FRESH donation helps deliver a healthy and happy season for all in need,” said Brianna Shales, Stemilt Communications Manager.
