“Some people do not understand it at all”

Restaurant made from old containers and a second-hand greenhouse

A restaurant created from disused sea containers from the port of Amsterdam, a second-hand greenhouse from De Lier, windows and door frames from marktplaats.nl, from Overveen, and tables from a wine bar in Haarlem. This is the peak of circular entrepreneurship.

It is a dream come true for Merel Jansen and her husband Frank van Baaren. For the next three years, they get to exploit a catering establishment near the lake at the edge of Haarlem-Oost. In the middle of the companies and the idyllic landscape. And all in their own way.
