Shawn Harris about US presidential election:

"Trump is a populist without a plan, I'm backing Clinton"

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have been constantly in the media for weeks, but today is the actual day of the presidential election in the United States. We asked Shawn Harris, CEO of Nature's Pride, who left the country in 1989 because of her love for the Netherlands, for her opinion and preference in this election.

"America is very divided at the moment, which is too bad. Most of us would agree that bad choices have been made in the primaries," states Shawn.

Trump vs Clinton
"Trump is a populist without a real plan. His proposal to reduce taxes would make the country bankrupt. He has taken advantage of many small businesses and is far from fair. He appears to be a racist and to have trouble with women. Not my kind of guy," affirms Shawn. "I'm for Clinton. She has plenty of experience to hold one of the world's most important positions. We all hope she is better at running a country than at lobbying, but I think she will be. The country is currently very well run by Obama. We should have more people of that sort."

"There are a few exceptions to this. The American people are tired of the two sides always blocking the plans of the other. That hate must stop. We have higher minimum wages, improved infrastructure, affordable health insurance (although many don't have insurances yet) and better and cheaper education. That's all in Clinton's program," concludes Shawn, who does not expect the choice of either candidate to have a significant impact on the fruit and vegetable sector."
