Amsterdam Produce Show

Last week saw the very first edition of the Amsterdam Produce Show which took place in the Westergasfabriek. The event kicked off with a fabulous cocktail evening, followed by the Trade Fair, with seminars and chef demonstrations throughout the day.

1000 people had registered to visit the event, not a number most people would get exited about, but the stand holders were unanimous in their praise for the show, "Here you talk directly to the buyers that you want to talk to." The visitor were also impressed - many of them admitted to coming "Just to have a look".

The fantastic setting of the Westergasfabriek, which created a relaxed atmosphere, trendy food trucks, and interesting seminars during the day really caught the attention of those present; something Jim Prevor and his team can be proud of. There were around 100 stands from Africa, North America, South America, Australia and Europe and there was ample time to have conversations with everyone.

Jim Prevor is well aware that the trade Fair will need time to get established: "The first year of the London Produce Show was quieter than this, but it is now an established event. This show will definitely see a next edition!"

On Friday there were various tours for the visitors to choose from. FreshPlaza will report on the Agro Merchant tour later this week.
