Processing cashews in Ghana

“Improve the quality and create jobs”

To be successful and create a company that benefits as many as possible – that is what Kwabena Taylor wants. He manages a processing company for cashews in Ghana. He gets support from GIZ, the German organization for international cooperation, through the African Cashew Initiative. Which in turn is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and several companies.

Until now more than 250,000 small farmers have been trained in order to improve the quality of their cashews. In addition about 20 companies in Western Africa get support and over 5,000 jobs have been created.
