Buffers and blinds store exotics at ideal temperature

Exotics like mangos, avocado, papaya, kiwis and bananas aren't always supplied in standard or full pallets. For ripening this fruit, which is supplied in different amounts and packaging, BG Doors developed suction walls with foam buffers and blinds in discussion with customers.

"Partial loads can be stored and/or ripened quickly and accurately with this. It has already been applied in Poeldijk, Brussel, Sint Katelijne Waver and Spalding UK," according to Willem van der Does of BG Door.

The precooling walls are also suitable to quickly cool products back to cell temperature, according to Willem. "Due to the seal of the foam buffers and the seal above with the blinds, the air flow will be directed through the product. Before carrying out the cooling technique, we always contact your current cooling technician."
