China to Russia fruit export booms
Mudanjiang is a city in the Northeast of China near the Russian boarder. In the last ten months, exported fruit and vegetables with an estimated value of 37.4 million USD were inspected for export. This is 14% more than during the same period a year earlier. Most exported products are tomatoes and apples.
The Ningan Yuanfeng Logistic Centre opened in 2011. A specially designed inspection centre shortens the inspection process, which now takes less than a day. Cold storage rooms have recently opened. Fresh produce export from China to Russia has been growing since the EU trade embargo against Russia.
