The clementines mainly came from Spain and some Italian clementines completed the supply. And on Tuesday Greek and Moroccan batches of clementines were available in Frankfurt. The sales didn’t go smoothly, due to several reasons. In the first place the supply was high compared to the low demand caused by the weather. And in the second place the supply already had some flaws, which put pressure on the sales.

Price reductions happened daily. It was especially difficult to sell the packaged fruit, even for prices as low as 0.70 € per kilo. Only in Berlin and Cologne prices remained the same because the demand increased and was in balance with the supply. The availability of the Spanish satsumas was limited; the Turkish supply increased and took first position. Italian and Croatian supplies completed the range.

The prices often remained on level with the previous week. Only in Hamburg the prices for the Spanish produce went down.
