The two companies have jointly invested in buying the land and building five greenhouses of equal size. All the greenhouses form a single, fully operational demonstration center. The main aim of this project is to grow different vegetable varieties of the Yuksel brands and then show the final results to growers on their own conditions.
The location of the demonstration center isn’t chosen randomly by Leda-Agro. The cultivation process will take place under the most common weather conditions and in similar greenhouses used by the majority of growers in Ukraine. The place is called Vodyanoe of Kamenka-Dneprovka region, about 140 km from Zaporizhia, a major city in Southern Ukraine. The region is home of the largest vegetable production area in Ukraine for greenhouses and Vodyanoe is the center of that region where some of the largest and most professional growers are located.
The first tomato and cucumber varieties (Variety of Tomatoes; Antalya F1, Asia F1, Pink Rose F1, Sacher F1 and Variety of cucumbers; Lutoyar F1 Sarazin F1 Capricorn F1) were sown in end of February 2015 and the production process is going very well according to schedule. A large field day was taken place on May 17. Leda-Agro estimated that more than 500 people have attended for the field day.
The group likes to thank their special guests, who came from Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus.
