Germany: 150 million euros for EU school fruit program

For the 2015/16 school year 150 million Euro in total will be invested in the European Union's school fruit program. 27.97 million of that 150 million will go to Germany.

The program reaches 12 million children across Europe from 25 countries. Sweden, Finland and Great Britain are the only European countries not participating in the program. Thanks to this program children can learn not only about fresh vegetables and fruit and vitamins, but also about a balanced diet, for example, through school lessons on this topic or visits to farms.
