Japanese company opens factory in Egypt

Japan Solutions Food (JSF) recently launched a fruit processing unit in Egypt. The Japanese company entered into a partnership with the Egyptian government and invested in 70% of the 8.47 million needed to install the factory.

For JSF the main aim is to boost horticultural processing within the country so as to reduce post-harvest loss and add value to the sector.
Adel El-Beltagy, the Egyptian Minister of Agriculture says that the factory would rely on the local market for supplies and that the employees would be trained to a high level so that the vigorous standards required by the Japanese market would be maintained.

JSF have announced that they will not stop there and other units will be set up in Egypt.
