Wessanen has signed an agreement with a French entrepreneur for the sale of its French wholesale activities Bio-Distrifrais for an undisclosed amount. The deal is expected to close per 31 December 2014.
Bio-Distrifrais is a French wholesaler of fruits and vegetables, which employ 44 people and had net revenue of €19 million in 2013.
This divestment is in line with Wessanen's strategy of further building its own brands such as Bjorg, Allos, Alter Eco, Bonneterre, Clipper and Zonnatura in the healthy and sustainable food market in Europe.
