German organic supermarket Alnatura grows strongly

The German organic supermarket chain Alnatura is still growing strongly, show the company results from fiscal year 2013/14 presented by the company last Thursday. In fiscal year 2013/14 the turnover increased by 16 percent to 689 million Euro, reports the German newspaper 'Handelsblatt' on its website. This means the turnover growth is clearly about the growth percentage of the organic markets as a whole, which is at 7 percent.

The number of stores also increased in 2013/14 by 10, to 89 locations, and the number of employees increased to 2320. The opening of at least ten new stores is planned, mainly in large cities and southern Germany.
