Spain: Vegetable prices at the auctions of Almeria

According to Agronoticias, auction prices of green lamuyo pepper is being traded at an average of 60 cents a kilo while red lamuyo pepper reached a first price of 1.00 Euro per kilo. California Red peppers have an average price of 64 cents, while the green variety is being traded between 60 and 50 cents and the yellow variety goes between 67 and 50 cents. Green Italian pepper prices range between 87 cents and 65 cents a kilo.

Auction prices for the tomatoes have fallen over the last week. The long shelf life green tomato has an average price of 58 cents, pear tomatoes are being sold between 54 and 40 cents, and bouquet tomatoes between 80 and 70 cents a kilo.

French cucumber prices average between 80 and 75 cents a kilo, long cucumbers between 25 and 15 cents, and black short cucumbers between 72 and 55 cents.

The prices of thin zucchini remain stable and are very similar to last week's prices, between 57 and 30 cents. The fat zucchini is being sold between 45 and 28 cents. The striped eggplant ranges between 44 and 30 cents, and the long eggplant has an average of 14 cents a kilo.
