Pumpkin's increasing popularity in agri food industry

Pumpkins are a sign of Halloween, or Thanksgiving in America. The vegetable that used to be mainly used in soups is now found in dishes, cakes and even ready to drink coffee.

Starbucks has released their Starbucks Pumpkin Spiced Latte coffee whilst Dunkin' Donuts have come up with a pumpkin donut. The pumpkin hype has only just begun and has been a success this autumn. Kraft offer a "four level" pumpkin cake, Greek brand, Chobani, a pumpkin and spice yoghurt, St Ambroise brasseries offer a pumpkin beer.

This root vegetable was very popular in the Middle Ages, and now as a"Jack-o-lantern" or soup, each to their own for Halloween!
