AUSVEG confirms Gold Coast will host 2015 Convention

AUSVEG has announced that its National Convention will be returning to Jupiters on the Gold Coast in 2015, bigger and better than ever.

“AUSVEG is delighted to announce that the 2015 National Convention, which is the biggest event in Australian Horticulture, will take place at Jupiters on the Gold Coast,” said AUSVEG National Marketing Manager, Simon Coburn.

The Convention will be held over three dates, from Thursday 25 – Saturday 27 June 2015, and is anticipated to generate interest from around Australia, and the world.
AUSVEG is the leading industry body representing Australia’s 9,000 vegetable and potato growers.

“The National Convention, Trade Show and Awards for Excellence attracts more members of the Australian horticultural industry than any other event, making it a must attend event for growers, suppliers, wholesalers and agri-businesses alike,” said Mr Coburn.

This announcement comes hot on the heels of the 2014 AUSVEG National Convention in Cairns, which was the largest ever, with over 1,100 domestic and international delegates attending.

“AUSVEG is planning to up the ante in 2015, with the Gold Coast Convention promising to be the most successful yet and a number of exciting developments soon to be announced,” said Mr Coburn.

Last year’s event hosted a number of esteemed international presenters and dignitaries, including a Reverse Trade Mission of over 40 buyers from Asian nations, and the Federal Minister for Agriculture, the Hon. Barnaby Joyce MP.
Previous AUSVEG Conventions have stimulated millions of dollars for their host city’s economy, and it is expected that the same benefits will occur for the 2015 National Convention on the Gold Coast.

“AUSVEG is extremely excited to announce that the 2015 National Convention, Trade Show and Awards for Excellence will be taking place at Jupiters on the Gold Coast and are looking forward to hosting the largest event in Australian horticulture in Queensland,” said Mr Coburn.
