Tomra to highlight Halo 500 Optical Sorter at PMA Fresh Summit

TOMRA Sorting is set to showcase its Halo 500 three-way optical sorter at the largest trade conference and expo in the western world for the fresh produce industry, PMA Fresh Summit.

The company will be providing more information about the sorter and its other state-of-the-art sorting solutions and innovations to attendees at PMA Fresh Summit 2014. This takes place in the Anaheim Convention Centre, in Anaheim, California, from October 17 to 19. TOMRA representatives will be available at Booth 1110.

Delivering high performance sorting and grading, based on quality, size and food safety, the Halo combines intelligence with advanced control, to supply flexibility and accuracy in a reliable, long-life, compact machine. 

Providing high performance across of a wide range of foods, the Halo views and analyses features such as colours, shapes, blemishes, foreign materials and hard-to-see defects, producing a highly accurate sort.

Fresh pack Halo applications include: all sizes and varieties of potatoes; carrots; parsnips; onions; garlic; tomatoes; and cucumbers. Processor applications include: peeled and unpeeled potatoes; carrots; peaches; pears; tomatoes; green beans, onions; apricots; and citrus fruits, such as oranges and mandarins.
