Fruit Attraction

Val Venosta Apples presents Golden Gold Awards

Val Venosta Apples will be attending the trade fair Fruit Attraction, which takes place from 15 to 17 October in Madrid (IFEMA), for the fifth consecutive year.

On this occasion, the Association of Horticultural Cooperatives of the Venosta Valley (VI.P) will have an area of 64 m² in Hall 3, stand D09A, and its CEO, Josef Wielander, will be present.

His participation in this sectorial meeting will include the presentation of the Golden Gold Awards, granted to Spain's most demanding greengrocers, to be presented on the 16th at 11 am in the Fruit Fusion area, located between halls 3 and 5.

Afterwards, the cook and Master Chef teacher Jordi Ferrer will be the star of a live cooking show. With the preparation of three original recipes, which attendees will have a chance to taste, he will reveal the keys to why Val Venosta apples are the "Golden par excellence."

After 12 h, at VI.P's stand, its CEO and marketing and sales managers (Michael Grasser and Fabio Zannesco, respectively), will give interviews (booked prior) to provide information about the start and innovations introduced this season.

Corporate information Val Venosta Apples
Val Venosta Apples consists of seven cooperatives bringing together a total of 1,750 producers who cultivate more than 5,250 hectares in the Venosta valley, located in the Italian Alps.

Special features of the Valley (300 days of sunshine per year, sharp temperature fluctuations between day and night, and the altitude at which the apples are grown, of between 500 and 1,000 metres) make it possible to grow a high quality product, with a unique taste and an unmistakable crisp texture.

The Association of Horticultural Cooperatives of the Venosta Valley, VI.P, harvests an average of 350,000 tonnes of apples per season, which are sold in 46 international markets. The fruit's main destination is Italy, where it sells more than 50% of the production, while Spain represents between 7 and 8% of its sales.
