Locus Traxx introduce new European venture at Fruit Attraction

International real-time monitoring specialist Locus Traxx will be introducing a range of innovative products at this year’s Fruit Attraction trade fair in Madrid, Spain as the company brings its pioneering system for fresh produce shipments to Europe.

Following the opening of its European office earlier this year in Belgium, the US-based company will be making its first appearance at Fruit Attraction as a visitor, as part of a concerted drive to expand its presence in Europe’s major fruit and vegetable production regions.

The trade fair will also provide the venue for the launch of a new, streamlined version of Locus Traxx’s Portable Satellite Unit; a revolutionary device in the company’s product portfolio that has been redesigned to give exporters real-time data on each and every sea shipment they make.

Locus Traxx will also use the occasion to introduce its SmartTraxx GO real-time monitoring device to the Spanish market, following considerable success with the product at a global level.

Like the Portable Satellite Unit, SmartTraxx GO has also been conceived with the aim of making customers’ lives easier and providing them with the assurance and peace of mind of knowing that their products are being protected and watched over.

“The device is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, it’s activation is as simple as pulling a tab, it allows to you to know the location and temperature of the product at any time and the best part is if there is a problem you’ll be notified in real time,” explained Ray Hoffman, Managing Director of the European venture of Locus Traxx Worldwide. “The objective is to provide the shippers and owners of the product with a reliable and completely transparent source of information on how their fruits and vegetables are handled.”

Increased transparency
Hoffman said Locus Traxx would be visiting Fruit Attraction this year with the objective of meeting the principal Spanish growers and shippers of fresh produce to share with them how Locus Traxx can help increase the transparency and safety of their shipments. “Our main goal is introduce the Spanish industry to our exciting new way of monitoring perishable products in real time,” said Hoffman.

“We also want to get to know them, their businesses and their needs, as we are always open to customising our services to our customers’ specific needs.

“Spain is one of the leading fruit and vegetables exporters in Europe and therefore it is a top priority for us to increase the visibility of our company in Spain and have the players in the Spanish market discover the unmatched advantages of our temperature and location monitoring solutions.” At the current time, Locus Traxx is working with a range of Spanish exporters, helping to monitor products including stone fruit, citrus and strawberries being transported across Europe, as well as to the US, Canada and South Africa.

“People have given an incredibly positive reaction to our real time monitoring solutions as they address many of their problems and concerns in real time,” added Hoffman.

“We are looking to grow our Spanish partner base and have more and more companies in the Spanish industry benefit from it.”
