New partnerships in Asia
Fresh Partners expanding to Indonesia
Under the Fresh Asia brand, Fresh Partners Thailand has been active in the export of exotic fruit and vegetables to the EU and Middle East for many years under the brand name Asiafresh. After the opening of a branch in Malaysia, they are now busy opening a branch in Indonesia so that the range of exotic products can be expanded further.
In collaboration with Bogor Agriculture University new exotic herbs and vegetables will be developed, which will meet EU guidelines on food safety, while Supply Chain Development Projects are set up to serve fruit exports, (Rambutan, Mangosteen, Papaya Callina, Mango Gedong en Arumani, Passion fruit etc).
Since most exotic products are transported via air freight, cooperation has been sought with Garuda Indonesia, so full attention is given to the logistic process to ensure a closed cold chain from farm to consumer. Fresh Partners Asia will also, for the foreseeable future, move its operations to focus on imports in Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
