Frankort & Koning has intensified its collaboration with Spanish cultivations groups. "Many customers appreciate a wide supply of vegetables every day without long delivery times and unnecessary stocks," declares Leon van den Hombergh. "Our contacts in Spain are also excited about having the products sold from Venlo, as it often saves transport."
"The lorries drive with full loads, which isn't just cheaper, it's also better for the quality. This year we have extended the assortment with citrus, kakis, carrots, cauliflower and the vegetables such as peppers, cucumber and tomatoes, which we market under the brand Royal Select. This includes the Royal Verde iceberg lettuce, of which the quality has been understood by our customers for years."
