Compared to last autumn's prices for seed potatoes increased to ten Euro for 100 kg. With that, they have equalled the record year of 2011, as mentioned on the German website Topagrar.com.
How expensive the seed potatoes will become is dependent on the sizes. In some cases there are big differences depending on the origin. In order to reach the required quantities of certain varieties the sorting limit was increased from 35/50 mm to 35/55 mm.
