Lungs of Italian agrarian damaged by fungi
An Italian agrarian is seriously ill: for a long time he coughed up blood and in the course of a year he lost almost 35 kg. The man assumed that his health deteriorated because he smoked for many years. The lungs of the patient indeed appeared in bad shape, but this was the result of them being attacked by dangerous fungi.
The agrarian had picked up aspergilleosis when working his field. During this work he breathed in the trace elements, which then entered his lungs and germinated later. The fungi in his lungs became dangerously large, they reached about 8 cm. The doctors operating on the man say, that they have never involved in this kind of case before.
