Germany: grape sales benefit from weather

While citrus such as early clementines and Satsumas still lay under the late warm sunrays, sales of bunches of grapes are benefiting from the late summer temperatures in Germany, reports the German Agricultural Information Bureau (AMI) on their website.

Greece remains the main provider of white seedless grapes from the Mediterranean. Numbers are now greatly reduced, leaving only special products available at a much higher price than the standard. The food trade will buy pre-packed articles in boxes of 500 grams, and then change to Brazilian.

Other seedless varieties such as Crimson Seedless are likely to end availability in Europe at the end of October. In the present circumstances, for the seed containing variety Italia, the season is far from over.
