Unifeeder launches five weekly services in the Peninsula, southern France and Italy

Throughout the month of October the Unifeeder company has launched 5 weekly services linking Algeciras with Vigo, Bilbao, Leixoes, Lisbon, Valencia, Barcelona, Fos and various ports of the west coast of Italy.

Unifeeder has also made Noatum Marmedsa Shipping Agency in Algeciras, Vigo Maritime Davila and Orey Shipping in the port of Bilbao, which are the new ports in Spain in which the shipping offers, their consignment agents. IntramediterrĂ¡neo is their agent in the ports of Valencia, Tarragona and Barcelona.

Unifeeder, founded in 1977 and headquartered in Aarhus, is the largest operator of feeder services in the Northern European market. The launch of these new services is part of the strategic development of the Danish company both in the Iberian Peninsula and in the western Mediterranean.

The company also markets short distance transport lines with their own containers, through its business unit Short Sea.

Unifeeder is working the different regular lines which it already operates in the mentioned ports with the Gluecksburg, Samaria, As Scotia, Elbella, Durande and Tangier ships; through an operating system that allows them to exchange ships between the lines that they operate.

Thus, Unifeeder can guarantee that it’ll stopover once a week on a fixed day at all ports. Additionally, the company and can create short sea transportation corridors with high added value for the local industry, such as the connection between the ports of Vigo and Algeciras with Naples and Salerno.
