Avocado Hass crops increase in Honduras

A group of producers in Ocotepeque, western Honduras, will devote themselves to growing sustainable Hass avocados in order to supply the domestic market.

Hass Avocado crops in the country have increased in recent years, said Luis Cuevas, a producer.

He added that this initiative is supporting producers in the municipalities of San Marcos, San Francisco and Mercedes Ocotepeque.

"We have provided them with 150 grafts of Hass and have distributed 32,000 inlays of this fruit at a cost of $ 2.50 per graft up to date".

He added that the crops are doing very well and that they have aroused enthusiasm in other producers who have already begun to grow this crop.
