After 7 years of R&D and just a few short months in the market, Woot Froot sliced peaches and nectarines have been named as a finalist for the PMA Impact Award.
Kim Gaarde, President of Fresh Fruit Cuts and the brains behind the R&D for sliced peaches and nectarines remarked, “It has been a whirlwind of a year, transitioning from R&D to becoming a commercial processor and seeing our products in market for the first time.”
Fresh Fruit Cuts is currently wrapping up the CA season and will be re-launching the product in January during the Chilean stonefruit season and moving into year-round production starting in June of 2014.
Woot Froot has a 15 day shelf-life and is available in 3 oz and 18 oz trays, as well as bulk packages for foodservice. Woot Froot peaches and nectarines are packed to the highest standards of taste with only a few varieties of peaches and nectarines making the grade to guarantee consistent flavour and quality.
“This has been a labour of love and it’s exciting to see our products recognized by the industry for marketing excellence,” remarked Gaarde.
