Primaflor to supply Marks & Spencer with Pak Choi and Peanut pumpkin

Last week, Primaflor's cultivation system for Pak Choi and Peanut pumpkin passed the Field to Fork audit, allowing the company to supply these products to Marks & Spencer. The firm already had this certificate for lettuce, spinach and onions.

The Field to Fork assurance scheme is mostly focused on hygiene and food safety aspects, as reflected on its strict protocols for good manipulation practices and good agricultural production practices. The audit, for which preparations started in April and was passed on 24 September, has been conducted by Bakkavor, a multinational firm specialised in food processing. With this achievement, Primaflor expands its exports to the UK.

The British chain Marks & Spencer has 766 shops and almost 82,000 employees. The chain reached a net profit of 555 million Euro by the end of its latest financial year, with a 3.9% increase of its profits in the food business.
