Cool Logistics 2013

Need for improvement throughout the cold chain

This year's Cool Logistics was held aboard the SS Rotterdam, the host sponsor was the Port of Rotterdam. Despite the thick fog delegates made it in time for the start of the conference.



There were a variety of speakers from all areas of the logistical sector and many topics were covered. One of the main messages which came across was the need for improvement throughout the cold chain, both in the developing counties as well as countries which have well established cool chains.

There was a general feeling that long term partnerships would be the way forward for reefer shipping, Thomas Eskesen from Maersk, explained that now they are signing contracts for as long as five years with customers. Click here to read more.
