US: Domex Superfresh Growers lends helping hand at Washington Horticultural Association

Domex Superfresh Growers lent a helping hand at the 108th annual meeting of the Washington State Horticultural Association which was recently held in Yakima, WA December 3-5, 2012. They provided speakers/panelists for four of the education programs in addition to sponsoring the Social & Cocktail Hour Monday evening and the cherry educational session on Wednesday morning.

The first speaker was Jeff Webb, export sales manager, who spoke on the topic of Cherry Exports and Their Importance. He was followed by Robert Kershaw, president, who contributed his thoughts on Rainier Cherries: This Year and its Future. Down the hall, Howard Nager, vice president of marketing was discussing Retail Merchandising of the PNW Pear Crop while Frank Davis, vice president of business development was speaking to a group of FFA students sponsored by the Washington Agricultural Education Foundation. He spoke to them about building and maintaining successful relationships with customers in foreign nations and shared his experiences about how US producers negotiate through these potentially delicate situations.

Domex Superfresh Growers continues to support ongoing educational efforts of the Pacific Northwest agricultural communities as well as working aggressively on their mission to connect growers with the end consumer.
