Calm cauliflower supply results in reasonable price level

The supply of cauliflower is very calm at the moment. "A lot of cauliflower has been harvested. Only the season of the late varieties still has to get going a bit," says grower Jan Kors of the growers union White Pearl Group. "We're not really being bothered by cauliflower from abroad at the moment."

"The sales are primarily focussed on the home market at the moment. There is some export to supplement it. The cauliflowers price for the 6's has been stable at around 65 cents for a few weeks. This is good value for growers," says the West-Frisian grower. He characterises the season as 'reasonable'. "But this is different for every grower. If you've had a lot of product in the last few weeks, you're in a good position."
