Patrick Stoffels from BUD Holland:

"Gojibes responds to hype rawfood and health "

BUD Holland has goji berries on promotion. "We import this product from China and pack it ourselves at 10 x 100 grams. This product is dried and available all year round. To our knowledge, the goji berries in Europe are not available fresh," said Patrick Stoffels. "Due to the hype around raw food and health, we started with the goji berry."

The health benefits of Goji berries are immense. Thus the berries contain polysaccharides which fortify the immune system. Studies have been conducted that show that when people take a daily serving of Goji Berries, appetite, vitality and optimism increased significantly, functions of T cells tripled, you get a better night's sleep, your libido increases and an overall improvement of health is seen. Traditionally the Goji Berries were considered a high sexual potency food and also as an anti-aging supplement.

Goji berries contain up to 18 amino acids!. Besides many amino acids Goji berries contain 21 minerals, of which the principal are iron, copper, zinc, selenium, phosphorus and calcium. On top of this Goji berries contain a large amount of antioxidants, even more than blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, cranberries. Antioxidants are essential in combating diseases such as cancer and AIDS.

Other important substances found in the Goji berry include: iron, fiber, vitamin C (the amount of vitamin C by weight 500x more than oranges!), Vitamin B, vitamin E, beta-carotene, beta carotene (much more than in eg carrots), minerals, amino acids, protein, essential fatty acids, selenium, germanium, phosphorus, cyperone, physalin and a variety of other essential ingredients that are necessary for good health. In traditional Chinese medicine, the fruit is used for the liver, the kidneys, fever oppression, against cough and asthma symptoms.
