Marketing agency gives to #GetTheSpirit

Moxxy Marketing is getting into the holiday spirit, not only with the reveal of their mascot xPoint, an 8 ½-foot-tall, orange exclamation point inspired by Moxxy’s logo, but also by matching gifts given to local animal rescue organizations.

In Moxxy’s holiday greeting video, you follow the journey of xPoint, who decorates the office, purchases animal-related gifts as a donation to the SPCA of Monterey County and ends up with a new furry family member. In addition to the donation made as part of the video, Moxxy will be matching donations made by community members to a list of local animal-related charities up to a cumulative total of $1,000.

“As an office full of animal lovers, the whole team at Moxxy was excited to be able to bring some holiday joy to local organizations while putting together this video and campaign,” said principal Terry Feinberg.

xPoint was introduced to the world via Moxxy’s #GetTheSpirit social media and email campaign. Leading up to the video debut, Moxxy released teasers to Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to build anticipation for the video prior to its release. In addition to helping the visibility of the campaign, the #GetTheSpirit hashtag is a call to action for people to participate in the campaign by sharing the message or sending a donation.

“We were looking for a fun and unique way to spread some holiday spirit through social media, email and on our blog,” said principal Karen Nardozza. “But more importantly, we wanted to spread the message that the holidays are a time to give and spend time with family members (both two-legged and four-legged).”

Organizations where Moxxy will be matching donations include the SPCA for Monterey County, Animal Friends Rescue Project, Peace of Mind Dog Rescue, Monterey Bay Lab Rescue, Salinas Animal Services and South County Animal Rescue. Moxxy thanks both the SPCA for Monterey County and From the Heart Animal Behavior & Training for opening their facilities and allowing the film crew and xPoint to disrupt their normal business operations. The animals also appreciate it.
