Corn shipper and fresh produce grower-shipper partner and make over $35,000 in charitable donations

For the fifth consecutive year, GloriAnn Farms and partner Five Crowns Marketing have made significant charitable donations to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (IFHF) as well as National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.® (NBCF). This year, the companies were able to donate over $35,000 in total contributions.

By partnering with retailers for annual promotions, GloriAnn Farms and Five Crowns Marketing have been able to raise awareness of these organizations and the important work they do. For every case of value-added corn sold to participating retailers during the month of August, a donation was made to the IFHF, which this year was over $18,500.

“Thanks to you and thousands of other supporters who share your concern for those who serve our nation, in the past year the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund has completed construction of two new Intrepid Spirit centers to diagnose and treat troops suffering from traumatic brain injury, and have broken ground on another,” says David Winters, President of IFHF. “Five Intrepid Spirit centers are now open and providing the world’s best care to our wounded heroes in uniform.”

Similarly, the “Corn for the Cause” campaign, which benefits NBCF, is supported each October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Through the retail sales of value-added corn in specially marked packaging, featuring the classic pink ribbon, GloriAnn Farms and Five Crowns Marketing were able to donate over $16,000 to National Breast Cancer Foundation.

“For the fifth consecutive year, GloriAnn Farms and Five Crowns Marketing have supported our mission of Helping Women Now®,” says Danae Johnson, Senior Director of Development for NBCF. “Their contributions will help us deliver vital early detection, education and support services to women in need so that no one faces breast cancer alone.”

“Once again, we are honored to be able to give back by helping these two very important causes,” says Mark Bacchetti, President of GloriAnn Farms. “Our thanks go out to all of the retailers that helped make this another incredibly successful year.”
