Fresh Servant is a market leader in Finland and developing fast. With 300 employees they serve the Finnish’ convenience food market with their healthy, fresh products, like ready-to-eat salads, fruits and vegetable components. In 2013 they established a completely new production facility with high hygiene standards (4.500m2). With new developments inside the organization, they are fast becoming a highly professional “fresh-food-producing’ company.
With a leading position in delivery to supermarkets, they also produce private labels, but their focus is on building their own strong brand under the name of “HETKI”. They have also launched a unique ‘Fresh Salad-bar concept’, which has been very successful.
Finland’s convenience salads and vegetable market is a fast emerging one. There are lots of opportunities which could lead to further growth, besides which they are also exploring the possibilities of export to neighbouring countries.
Fresh Servant is happy to have been cooperating with the Wim Zomer Food Processing Consultancy from The Netherlands for many years now. Initially Wim helped as a consultant/advisor, but lately also as interim operational manager. He has contributed strongly in the fast development of the Fresh organization with his advice, consultancy and interim management.
It’s obvious Fresh Servant is proud to be one of those 1000 in Europe. But they belong also to the Top-20 of Finland’s most inspiring companies to work with. They participated into the final round of the competition for 'Finnish Company of the year 2016'.
A few highlights from the report
- “These companies are the engine – and the future – of the European economy. Only they can tackle the chronic economic problems affecting Europe. Only they can drive high-quality job creation and economic growth.”
- For example, the 1000 companies highlighted in the report have a compound annual growth rate of 71%, with the top 100 growing at more than 400% over the three-year period. They boast an impressive 66% job growth over the past two years.
- By their very nature, SMEs that have succeeded have done so through their significant ability to innovate and grow, either offering new services or by re-imagining the provision of existing business models.
- In this new report, the London Stock Exchange highlighted 1000 of the fastest growing SMEs across the 28 countries of the European Union.
