Buldan, Denizli, located in southwestern Turkey, is one of the most important grape production areas in the country. The harvest of grapes has already started and the price has been very satisfactory for growers so far. 120,000 tons of grapes are expected to be harvested this season from 350 million square feet of production land.
The variety of Sultaniye grapes are known for being seedless and the price of the product is around 0.25 USD – 0. 35 USD per kg at the growers, which is a marked improvement from previous year’s prices.
The reason behind these prices is the high quality of production this season and lower production in other production areas in Turkey.
