The 4 new raspberry varieties of 2018!

This winter, Advanced Berry Breeding, located in the Netherlands, is bringing four new raspberry varieties, besides the Kweli and Kwanza, to the market. These will complement the existing range. The new varieties are all autumn raspberries.

Wengi has an enormous yield of raspberries with a nice, light colour. They have a long shelf-life and transport well. Wengi is well-suited for cultivation in areas with a mild or Mediterranean climate.

Shani comes into production early. This variety continues producing flowers and fruit, even in low-light circumstances. This variety is, therefore, primarily suited to areas with a Mediterranean climate. Shani produces nice, high-yield raspberries.

Rafiki is a very versatile variety. This variety is almost thorn-free, easy to grow and delivers a high yield. These raspberries also store and transport well. Every grower's dream.

Jambo produces firm fruit with a striking, bright yellow colour. This nice colour lasts for days after the fruit has been harvested. This variety is easy to grow and gives a high yield. Jambo is attractive for markets looking for fruit with a different, unique look.

In 2018, limited plant material of these varieties will be available.
