Redline Solutions releases V3 of its cooler software supporting Android operating systems

In line with its approach to keeping its software as fresh as the produce that it manages, RedLine Solutions, the leader in produce traceability and inventory management, announced today the release of version 3 of its popular RedLine CoolerTM warehouse management software for grower-shippers.

The new release includes support for Android devices, including Zebra’s revolutionary single plane TC8000 handheld scanner, which scans barcodes three times faster than gunstyle scanners, is 33% lighter than gun-style models, and reduces worker hand/wrist motion by 76%. Though this unit is lighter and easier to operate, it is still very rugged, exceeding the IEC tumble and the MIL-STD-810G 8ft drop specifications, as well as being sealed for jetting water and dust.

RedLine’s team strive to provide long-term solutions for its clients. Seeing that Microsoft will discontinue support for two of its widely used mobile operating systems in the next few years, RedLine added Android support to future-proof its customer's solutions moving forward.

V3.0 includes features like: • Support of “Zones” so produce can be associated with rooms or areas of the facility. Zone can be set up to segregate product by commodity, storage temperatures, or other relevant grouping. When a product is received the forklift driver can be directed to the Zone set up for that product. • The latest (SSCC) Standard Serial Container code label printing requirements. • Purchase order lookup now enables a forklift driver to search for product received on an external PO. Now in addition to Lot Number lookup, forklift drivers can use PO to quickly and accurately locate that product. • The system directs forklift drivers to the best match products for each order based on FIFO, LIFO, Received date, grower block, lot number or PO number.

RedLine Cooler 3.0 builds upon the great features that our customers have come to rely on. This includes Cooler’s new paperless picking option, which avoids the need for a forklift driver to go to the office to get their next order’s picklist.

Todd Baggett, the CEO of RedLine Solutions, said, “RedLine continually adds value to our customers business by including new functionality to our solutions. This is the third Cooler software release of 2017, and one we are very proud of as it futureproofs our clients by enabling the latest rugged Android devices. We are constantly talking with our customers about their evolving needs as well as monitoring industry and technology advances to make sure our solutions stay fresh, and maintain our position as the value leader in integrated Inventory and Traceability Solutions.”

RedLine Solutions will be presenting its full traceability software suite including RedLine Cooler V3.0 and MyProduce.com at booth #4308 during the PMA Fresh Summit in New Orleans, October 20th and 21st 2017.
