Eight week exports to Europe
Favourable weather propels Luscious Fresh’s snow pea & sugar snap harvest
“Our harvest has started last week. Weather conditions have been very positive during these weeks and we have been able to make significant progress harvesting and packing our snow peas and sugar snaps, as well as preparing them for export to Europe,” said Sherry Xu of Luscious Fresh.
“We have Global Gap and ETI certification, and will conduct MRL pesticide analysis before shipment to ensure full compliance with European standards. Our Spring season lasts approximately eight week. We are expected to ship 6 to 7 20-foot reefer containers and 2 40-foot reefer containers a week during our season.”

“The company is currently employing over 200 seasonal workers. We are very grateful that weather conditions have been favourable throughout the season, which has given us the opportunity to successfully conclude the planting, harvesting, packing and quality control.”
Increase in planting
“Meanwhile we are planning our autumn season, which takes place in the months from October until December. From next Spring season, we will increase our snow pea production after strong demand from Europe,” concludes Sherry
