China: Qingdao sets up the first Agricultural High-tech Zone

Recently, the provincial government made a agreement to set up a new Agricultural High-tech Industrial Development Zone on the west coast of Qingdao. Moreover, the Longkou provincial Agricultural High-tech Industrial Development Zone was also approved at this time. This is the first time that Shandong province has approved the implementation of two projects at the same time as part of their high-tech industrial policy.
The science and technology park of the demonstration area has a hi-tech vegetable cultivation plant, which is the equivalent of a large greenhouse, covering an area of 35 thousand square metres. The expertise and support came from Holland for everything from the construction technology to the planting technology.
